Our Story

Founder and Producer, Martina, was born in Naples, Italy, where she got her hospitable heritage, Italian passionate character, and love for pizza! 

She moved to the U.S. and started her journey working in luxury hotels in Miami Beach, Florida. After moving to California to continue her education, Martina worked for the City of Malibu planning community events while studying full-time.

Because of her incredible work ethic and passion for events, she realized a childhood dream working for Meetings & Events and Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.

Martina is trilingual (Italian, English, Spanish and a tad of Portuguese!) and a first-generation college graduate with a bachelor’s degree from Cal Poly Pomona in Hospitality Management. After gaining years of experience in the corporate world, the luxury private sector, and the destination wedding market, Martina realized that her goal was to start her own hospitality brand and company with Storia Mia Events, LLC.

We believe the Art of Event Planning is to bring people together, and we are fully committed to making this concept a reality.

We support Animal Rescues. Part of our event proceeds will be donated to shelter organizations, adoption programs, and field volunteer work.
